Description
Arcadian Farm Origins explore the natural flavours of days gone by, a taste that time has forgotten.
Eschewing the quotidian varieties of today, we are curious to unearth long-forgotten barleys – where natural flavours evolved over centuries in harmony with landscape, soil & climate.
We venture back in time to reintroduce the iconic variety Goldthorpe, found as a single, fortuitous mutation in a Yorkshire barley field in 1889. Over half a century later, the pioneering barley breeder, Dr Hunter, declared, ‘It was, & still is, one of the best quality varieties in existence.’ We are proud to present our nearest thing to time travel to a new era of single malt connoisseurs.
