Description
The Waterford micro-cuvées are mostly distillery exclusives. This one was no different. We just brought home a few bottles when visiting Waterford on 10th August 2022.
The Micro-cuvées are a assemblage of different Single Farm Origin bottlings.
Here are the tasting notes of their Head Distiller:
Appearance: Sunkissed orange with legs and oils that remind me of rain on a window pane of a winters day.
Nose: Apricot, sultanas, maple syrup on pancakes, candied apples, sage and thyme, mince pie, digestive biscuits and butter, warm hay, dried flowers.
Taste: White pepper, spicy, grapefruit, sweet and sour, chilly flakes, root vegetables, chewable, dryness, orange zest, coco, slightly malt vinegar & salt, cough sweets.
Finish: A spice heat that dry’s in the middle then is mouth-watering and chewy.
