Calvados Drouin aimed for collaborations with spirits from the four corners of the world. With Tequila Calle 23 it’s Mexico’s turn, thanks to Alex Mermillod, current Drouin export manager and brand developer and – not coincidentally – agave specialist in heart and soul in a past life.
Drouin Calle 23 Angels is an assembly of 2 tequila barrels, 1 first fill barrel with a finish time of 13 months was blended with a second fill barrel with a finish time of 4 months. With this limited bottling at 48.8%, expect a grand profile with walnut, olives, truffle that evolves into white chocolate and stewed apples to finish with grilled almonds.
Calle 23 Angels is bottled at 48,8%alc;vol. Only 1050 bottles have been produced.
