Description
The 7 Stars Blend is a blended Scotch whisky by the oldest Scottish independent bottler Cadenhead’s.
This whisky matured in various barrels. It comes in a 70 cl bottle and has an alcohol content of 46%.
In the case of a no-age-statement whisky, no age is mentioned on the bottle. Often, the producer opts not to mention an age if older whisky is supplemented with younger. According to the rules, the age must always be that of the youngest whisky in the blend, which is not desirable if the majority of the blend is older (and thus more valuable). Conversely, a choice may be made not to mention an age when predominantly young whisky is blended with a portion of (very) old whisky. In that case, the product is often priced higher in the market, and to justify this higher price, it is chosen not to mention an age (which would otherwise be the youngest in the blend).
The fruity flavors are quite present but do not dominate. They help define the taste, profile, and character of this drink but are not as decisive as potentially strong notes might be. There are floral, woody, as well as spicy hints, but these flavors are only lightly present. They add extra character and depth to the drink, without pushing it in any particular direction.
Based on this profile, you can conclude that this whisky has a fairly gentle character, without extremes.
