Springbank arrivals

Nowadays it is hard to get stock of the core range products of Springbank Distillery.

Is this due to the sudden popularity of this operating ‘museum like’ distillery, the ripple effect of the Covid-crisis , the impact of the war in Ukrain or just the effects of the enormously efficient Brexit arrangement?

Anyways we have some core range products in and a limited release.

Glendronach Grandeur Batch 11 – pre-order

Since 2010, Glendronach has been bottling the famous “Grandeur” series, which is more than popular with enthusiasts.

This year, Master Blender Rachel Barrie selected a few barrels of Oloroso Sherry to create this Batch 11, a 28 year old whisky.

We don’t know yet how many bottles we will receive, but it will be very limited., so we cannot guarantee that you will receive the desired, pre-ordered bottle.

The winners of a Unicorn are …

The big moment some people have been waiting for. No big screen scenario or professional ballot with legal supervision, just straight out of the living room after a hard days work on a bank holiday ?

Apologies for any wrong pronunciations or the ‘out of the top of my hat’ presentation.

We had 5 official participants for Longrow Red 15yo and Kilkerran Sherry cask, 15 Participants for Kilkerran Port cask and 17 for Springbank Local Barley 2021. Those who subscribed, but weren’t a customer, were taken out of the ballot.

Winners:

  • Springbank Local Barley 2021: Derk Kooi
  • Longrow Red 15y Pinot Noir: Ratko Vranes
  • Kilkerran Port: Neel Sahni
  • Kilkerran Sherry: Ratko Vranes

Watch the video to see who won which bottle: congrats to all.

Send us an email to confirm you will buy the bottle at normal retail price, but with an open seal or marked label (your choice). If we do not get an email within 14 days, we will offer the bottle to someone else.

Cheers, enjoy the whisky and let us know how you like it.

Wolfburn Ukraine Edition: raise a glass to …

Wolfburn Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal

If you know us, you know we think that whisky is made for drinking not collecting. A charity in our opinion is there to support whatever the good cause might be.

Wolfburn wants to raise £25,000 for the Ukrainian Humanitarian Relief Fund to benefit the refugees and victims of the war in Ukraine. To achieve this goal they create this limited release: The Wolfburn Ukraine Edition. It is limited to 1550 bottles, fully matured in ex-bourbon quarter casks, the yellow-blue label clearly states “Supporting the Ukraine humanitarian appeal”.

The distillery donates the proceeds of this bottling in full to this charity, your support will be rewarded with this fantastic whisky.

It is sad to see that some shops, collectors, flippers … are trying to make a profit out of these charity bottlings. So, these are at regular retail price, but the seal will be broken or the label will be marked, which ever you prefer as buyer, to avoid seeing them at auctions.

So support the cause by raising a glass to the defenders of Ukraine.
