Lady of the Glen

With the Box Bizar Project coming closer I am exploring some new brands that offer quality whisky. One of these new independent brands that caught my eye is Lady of the Glen.

All Lady of the Glen brand releases are hand bottled at natural cask strength, without any chill filtering or colouring which means the original taste remains unaffected and the end flavour is pure, full, and always unique.

Each bottle alongside its distinctive floral label and whisky, receives a hand detailed number, making the bottles as individual as the whisky they contain.

Lady of the Glen whiskies are a homage to the long tradition of independent bottling in Scotland and of outstanding and unhurried techniques that create a product that is both rare and special.

Want to taste TERROIRE in whisky

This is probably one of the coolest projects in the whisky industry of the last couple of years. I know it is a hard nut to crack as the available information given is massive and it is something we are less familiar with in the wonderful world of whisky.

And yes, they’ve released in all their enthusiasm too much, too quickly, which makes it hard to buy every release, but the goal of proofing TERROIRE in whisky is sooooo cooooolllll!

Maybe it is not scientifically proven, but if you have ever tried two samples of new make Waterford that have been distilled identically and have been matured in the same manner the different flavours coming from the two samples will convince you.

Now if you missed the Waterford train here is your chance to do a BACK-to-BACK tasting of different TERROIRES: 7 Single Farm Origins, 7 different flavour profiles.

Are we feeling exotic, yet?

In Belgium, as most parts of Southern Europe, it is bloody HOT at the moment.

These temperatures do not tempt me to drink some Scotch. I am getting in a more tropical mood and so nothing better than some decent rum.

Why not try one or more of these

You think you know Grain Whisky?

For those who thought grain whisky was by default light and creamy, think again.

If you are open minded enough to try something else than Single Malt Scotch, this blended grain Scotch whisky will give you a whole new experience and insight in the possibilities of Coffey Still distilled spirits.

You have got to love the guys of Compass Box, no?

Springbank arrivals

Nowadays it is hard to get stock of the core range products of Springbank Distillery.

Is this due to the sudden popularity of this operating ‘museum like’ distillery, the ripple effect of the Covid-crisis , the impact of the war in Ukrain or just the effects of the enormously efficient Brexit arrangement?

Anyways we have some core range products in and a limited release.
