Description
This golden malt owes its sweet character to maturation in Sessile Oak barrels. These oak trees grow along Scotland’s Atlantic coast. Scottish oak is rare and challenging to work with at every stage, from growing to processing.
Before maturation, the oak was air-dried for 36 months, then toasted and charred to the perfect level. This process encourages a great interaction between the oak and the whisky. Despite the challenges, the oak adds luxurious flavors of blonde chocolate, spicy orange, and soft toffee. The result is a truly unique whisky.
