Description
This molasses rum was distilled in 2018 in a column still at Savanna on Réunion Island. The rum was then aged for 5 years in a bourbon barrel and bottled at 61,5%.
Tasting profile:
Nose: Fine and elegant, yet with a lovely hint of ripe compote, leather, dark chocolate, and a touch of asphalt.
Palate: More pronounced, with cola spices and some hints of vanilla and tropical fruit.
Finish: Long and spicy with cinnamon and nutmeg, and a return of apricot/peach with sugarcane.
