Description
We are proud to introduce the latest Vintage: the Panama 2008 with a beautiful new design. This time the theme revolves around ‘Under the sea animals’ and for this first launch, a whale is featured on the label. If, like us, you are a big Plantation enthusiast, you will no doubt purchase the following Vintage launches as the reward is going to be great. This is because once you place all ‘Under the sea animals’ Vintages next to each other and see the whole of all labels, a beautiful fresco appears. To admire the complete picture you will have to be patient, but this 1st launch is not to be missed!
The Panama 2008 has undergone a fermentation of 2 to 3 days and was then distilled in a Column Still in 2008. After this, the rum has undergone a tropical aging for 12 years in Bourbon barrels and then, according to Plantation’s good habit, a final continental aging of 1 year in Cognac Ferrand barrels. The nose is packed with fruity and spicy scents. You can enjoy red berries, peaches, orange zest and nutmeg. Over time, the spiciness becomes stronger through aromas of lemongrass and white pepper. Your taste buds will in turn be treated to flavors of honey, red apple and toasted hazelnuts. All this with the subtle taste of toffee. The Panama 2008 ends with a spicy aftertaste in combination with chocolate notes.
